TAN MOURNS DIMGBA IGWE

The Transformation Ambassadors of Nigeria(TAN), a non - denominational group has expressed shock over the unfortunate death of an icon in the media industry, Pastor Dimgba Igwe of the Sun Newspapers.

The group's Director of operations, Mr Ben-Chuks Nwosu who spoken with journalists in Awka said that the demise of the foremost journalist came at a time when his invaluable analytical write-ups would be so much needed most especially the nation begins a journey of transition. He noted that the fallen hero was a fearless journalist who did all things with the fear of God and respect for and betterment of humanity.

Nwosu, a popular legal practitioner, recounted how the deceased Vice Chairman of Sun Newspapers and Mike Awoyinfa floated the now rested Nigeria Concord in 1989 which became a strong voice for national actualization and political emancipation.

He condemned the hit and run driver for not stopping to take Dimgba Igwe to the hospital on time which could have prevented the death of the icon. He declared emphatically that such un patriotic attitude is foreign to Nigerians' culture of being their brother's keeper.

Barr Nwosu while condoling with the family Dimgba Igwe left behind, his church,Evangel Penticostal Church, Okota, where he was an Assistant Pastor and indeed the enire nation called on all media practitioners to used the untimely death of the foremost journalist as an occasion for sober reflection and as well borrow a leaf from the Abia state born icon's attitude to his chosen profession.
