According to Punch, Borno state government has appealed to parents in
the state this afternoon, after the re-opening of public primary
schools in Maiduguri last week, to allow their wards to resume back to
school.
“I want to assure parents that government has made adequate security provisions in all schools for the protection of teachers and pupils. Parents should endeavour to send their children to school,”Dr Mohammed Dongel, Chairman of the State Committee on the Resuscitation of Primary School Education, appealed.
Dongel made the appeal during an interview with newsmen in Maiduguri this afternoon. He explained that the State Government has made adequate provision for the security of teachers and pupils in schools.
