Party (LP) members in Osun State on Tuesday adopted President Goodluck
Jonathan and other candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in
the state ahead of the 2015 general elections.
According to Punch, Dr. Bolarinwa Adedokun, the Senatorial Leader of
LP, who led representatives of LP from across 10 local government areas
in Osun Central Senatorial District declared their support for
Jonathan at the campaign rally of the PDP senatorial candidate for Osun
Central, Mr. Oluwole Aina, which was held in Osogbo.
President Jonathan Will Defeat Buhari In The North- PDP Adedokun
said members of LP decided to support PDP candidates because the two
parties were “identical twins.” He said President Jonathan deserved the
support of the majority of Nigerians because he had done well despite
the numerous challenges facing his administration.
While addressing
the crowd of party supporters Mr. Oluwole Aina urged the people of the
state to vote for candidates of the party from the top to the bottom in
all the elections holding on February 14th and 28th. Aina said, “I
want every Nigerian to weigh the presidential candidates of the PDP and
that of the All Progressives Congress before voting.
President Jonathan Believes He will Do Better From 2015 “Jonathan has
carried out many reforms in the economy. Railway was resuscitated
after years it had been abandoned. Electricity supply was improved
upon. Lagos-Ibadan Expressway is almost completed now by his
administration and we can go on and on to state his achievements.”
Recently former Speaker of House of Representatives, Hon. Patricia
Olubunmi Etteh has defected from the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP)
to All progressive Congress (APC) in Osun State.
