Suleiman Abba Confirmed As New IGP

According to new reports by AIT, President Goodluck Jonathan has confirmed Suleiman Abba as substantive Inspector General of Police.

This development was revealed by spokesman for the president, Reuben Abati today at the Police Council meeting held in the Presidential Villa. The former Acting Inspector General of Police replaces the incumbent Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Abubakar, who proceeds on statutory retirement today having completed 35 years in service.
